ARS ELECTRONICA 2013: Ron Mazurek Memorial Scholarship Concert
Bergen Community College Presents the “Sixth Annual Ron Mazurek Memorial Concert”, featuring Composer and Author Joel Chadabe. Joel Chadabe is an internationally recognized pioneer in the development of interactive music systems. He will perform at Bergen Community College’s “Ars Electronica 2013: Voyages of the Hero” . The Ars Electronica concert series is an annual event that pays tribute to the late Dr. Ron Mazurek, a dedicated Bergen Community College faculty member who touched countless lives as a musician and associate professor of music. Mr. Chadabe has performed at venues and festivals throughout the world with musicians such as Jan Williams and Bruno Sperri. Mr. Chadabe is professor emeritus at State University of New York at Albany, director of the Computer Music Studio at Manhattan School of Music, visiting faculty member at New York University and founder and president of the Electronic Music Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that organizes concerts and disseminates information relating to the history and current practice of electronic music.
